Big Ed's Heirloom BBQ Sauce
This vinegar-based barbecue sauce & marinade has a perfect, peppery kick and slightly sweet undertone. It brings out the flavor of your pork, steak, burgers & dogs, poultry, seafood, wild game, tofu, eggs, veggies (especially collards) and, well, just about anything. All you need to do is baste meat for 10-15 minutes before cooking is complete for a quick, tasty meal. Try it as a salad dressing or tangy addition to goat & cream cheese plates. Might we also add three words: bloody mary mixer (oh, yeah). It's gluten free, fat free, cholesterol free, preservative free, but full of flavor. According to Pigtail Brands' Sauce Boss, “Quite frankly, I use it on about everything.” After one taste, you'll know exactly why.

Pigtail Brands' flagship product, Big Ed’s Heirloom Barbecue Sauce, is a 30+ year family recipe out of Charleston, SC. The tangy vinegar-based sauce was for many years a favorite at local gatherings, with family and friends constantly asking why this delicious heirloom recipe wasn't sold by the bottle. We sure are glad Matthew Dukes Hanna, “The Sauce Boss,” finally did just that. Its history is as robust as its flavor: starting in 1980 the sauce & marinade was produced in small, specialty batches at Big Ed's Barbecue Restaurant & Pigtail Hunt Camp deep in the heart of the SC Lowcountry, where folks would eat it up after days of hunting and family fun.
